thinking2My inspiration for this card goes far back to when I was a child. I was always drawn to the dark night sky’s glow of its full moon and its dancing, twinkling stars. I remember (as often as I was allowed) I would lay on my back with my arms crossed behind my head and just look up to the night’s sky and just imagine life as I wished it would be. Now as an adult I look up to try and see beyond the moon and stars with a childlike hope I might catch a glimpse of God.
Inspired ingredients to make this card ..

The Moon: Basic Black marker & Basic Gray marker scribbled onto the craft mat, and spritzed with water, White Vellum cardstock, laid on top of spritzed ink, swirled gently and minutely, 1-3/4″ Circle punch for the moon.

Embellishment: One tiny pearl that represents the bright, shiny, planet Venus that sits by the moon. It looks like a bright shiny star from our point of view.

Stamp set: Sheltering Tree stamped in Versa Ink and heat embossed with white powder. Dirt mound stamped in White StazOn Ink, the Swing stamped in Whisper White pigment ink.

Coloring Tool: Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz used on card front and card base to give the look of distant stars.

Stamp Set: Gifts of Kindness – StazOn Jet Black Ink for sentiment. Modern Label used to punch out sentiment.

    • Hi Doris! Thank you so much! I used the multi adhesive glue to adhere the moon. The moon appears to have dimension because of the water colored ink I used warped the vellum. I didn’t expect that to happen but it was effective, lol.

  1. Beautiful card. Love using the idea of using the smooch spray for the distant stars and colored vellum for the moon. Congrats on being guest stamper today.
